The Intracellular Pathogen Cooperative (IPC) is an organisation focused around a multi-disciplinary collaborative group at St George's, comprising of academic and clinical scientists studying various a range of infectious diseases primarily but not exclusively intracellular in nature. Our research interests cover areas such as host-pathogen interactions, bacterial gene expression, molecular and cellular biology, cellular immunology, microbiology and vaccine research. The group has a particular focus on the application of clinical and scientific expertise toward addressing clinical and diagnostic need leading ultimately to patient benefit.

The remit of the Cooperative is to establish, support and develop the "new technologies"  applicable to functional genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. The group aims to advance scientific and translational research by promoting and supporting the transfer of skills in new technologies, to promote commecial engagement and to enable a collaborative approach to the advancement of  medical science.
